Webby-in-Motion is a special collaborative contest presented by Adobe and The Webby Awards where we ask motion designers, illustrators, animators and other talented creative minds to design a 20-second category introduction animation/video for The Webby Awards Gala in NYC on June 10, 2008. April 1, 2008 - Thank you to all who showed up last night. We had a decent turn-out, with a few new people! We ended up going over Photoshop basics. Remember, any topic you're interested in, just send an email to Misty with that information. Do the same if there's something you'd like to teach the group!

February 25, 2008 - Don't forget, our monthly meeting is tonight!
What's so special about this one? Well, you've probably heard that
Adobe has announced the release of Adobe Flex 3 and Adobe AIR 1.0.
Now that the cat is out of the bag, this will be the focus of our
Monday special meeting!
Flex 3 is a feature-packed release, adding new UI components like the
advanced datagrid and improved CSS capabilities; powerful tooling
additions like refactoring; and extensive testing tools including
memory and performance profiling, plus the addition of the automated
testing framework to Flex Builder.
Adobe AIR is game-changing in so many ways, delivering rich applications on the desktop, enabling access to the local file system,
system tray, notifications and much more. Now you can write RIAs on
the desktop using the same skills that you've been already using to
create great web apps including both Flex and AJAX.

Calling all multimedia artists! Open Concept Gallery is seeking submissions for the upcoming SMart Festival. Categories include video, animation, digital media such as photography, website, and graphic design, electronic and experimental music, and proposals for presentations about theoretical art.
